Prosthetic Shells

Prosthetic Shells are a unique and highly customized type of ocular prosthesis.

Fred Harwin has made a number of custom prosthetic shells. A prosthetic shell is designed to be worn over a discolored and/or disfigured eye. These are designed to restore a natural appearance to the eye. As opposed to a ocular prosthetics, you do not need to have an enucleation (eye removal) for this type of prosthetic.
